In-vivo drug discovery studies

Somru supports in vivo studies from early target validation through candidate selection. All experimental procedures involving animals are carried out to the highest standards of animal welfare in state-of-the-art facilities and approved according to Canadian and global regulations.

We will work with you to identify the most appropriate in vivo pharmacology solution (e.g., appropriate animal model, dosing, and sample collection strategy) for your drug discovery program. We offer a diverse range of acute, mechanistic, and pharmacodynamic models relevant to the target biology to assess target engagement and establish PK/PD relationships.

In-vitro Biology Assays

Somru scientists combine the most appropriate technology (e.g., biochemical, biophysical and cellular assay technologies) with disease relevant assay design to reveal the true mechanism of action of compounds to aid the selection, optimization and/or validation of the best chemical, biological, or cellular leads.

We are continually striving to develop in vivo models and endpoints with greater translational relevance to the clinic. Please contact us to learn more about our discovery services.
